Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Bromley starting in September. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children with special educational needs and making a lasting impact on their development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and other complex needs

  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies

  • Assist with personal care and mobility where necessary

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support

  • Use communication tools such as Makaton, PECS, or visual timetables (training can be provided)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEND, either professionally or personally

  • A calm, resilient, and flexible approach

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 are beneficial but not essential
