Protocol Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist school in the Merton area that is seeking Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025. The school caters for students across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary and offers excellent in-role training and development opportunities.

This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with children and young people with autism, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties. Experience is not essential—what matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.

About the Role:

  • Full-time (Monday to Friday) during school term time

  • Support pupils in small, structured classes (typically 6–8 students)

  • Assist in delivering tailored lessons in communication, numeracy, and literacy

  • Engage students in creative and sensory-based activities (e.g. art, music, cooking)

  • Foster communication, independence, and social development

  • Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to provide consistent support

  • One-to-one and small group work depending on student needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
