We’re supporting a specialist school in Sunderland dedicated to children and young people with autism. They’re looking for an enthusiastic, resilient SEND Teacher to join their team from September. If you believe that learning should be flexible, creative, and joyful, you’ll fit right in.

Your role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs

  • Foster communication, independence, and confidence in your pupils

  • Work closely with TAs, therapists, and families for joined-up support

  • Create a classroom where children feel safe, respected, and ready to learn

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS or QTLS (SEND experience is highly desirable)

  • Calm, adaptable teaching style with a sense of humour when needed

  • Experience working with children with autism or complex needs

  • A team player with bags of patience and positivity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
