SEND Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Thursdays & Fridays)

Contract: Part-Time (2 days/week – Thursday & Friday)

Salary: £89–£110 per day

We’re looking for a patient, proactive, and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in an EYFS setting. This part-time role (Thursdays and Fridays) is perfect for someone who brings warmth, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.
You’ll be joining a forward-thinking school rooted in respect, empathy, and the belief that every child can succeed. With a strong focus on personalised learning, inclusive practice, and emotional wellbeing, the staff work as a close-knit team to create a safe, happy space where children feel understood and encouraged every step of the way.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 support in an EYFS classroom

Helping your pupil access learning and build confidence

Using visual aids, structured routines, and sensory strategies

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents

Bringing calm, encouragement, and clear communication every day

Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in EYFS or primary

Confidence using communication tools and sensory resources

A team player who’s reliable, reflective, and ready to get stuck in
