Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD, ADHD, PMLD)

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, development, and emotional well-being, helping them to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Assist with personal care and mobility where required
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
- Foster a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
- Use a range of communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, or PMLD (this can be personal experience as well)
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not mandatory
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
