SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £89–£108 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

Your role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs

Help pupils with communication, regulation, and accessing learning
-
Support structured routines while gently encouraging independence

Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and wider support team

Be a positive, dependable presence throughout the school day
You’ll bring:

Experience supporting children with SEND (especially autism, SEMH or speech and language needs)

A calm, caring manner and clear communication

Good teamwork skills and a willingness to muck in where needed

Flexibility and resilience in busy classroom settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
