SEND Teacher (ASC/PMLD & Complex needs) – Because Every Child Deserves to Shine
Leeds – Multi-site settings
Pay based on experience & qualifications
Are you the kind of teacher who believes every child has potential—especially the ones who’ve been told they don’t?
We’re working with incredible SEND schools across Leeds who are looking for that rare mix: a calm presence, a kind soul, and a creative thinker. Someone who understands that progress doesn’t always come in big leaps—but in eye contact held, words spoken, or a day without distress.
If that sounds like you, keep reading. This could be more than a job—it could be your calling.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Crafting thoughtful, sensory-friendly lessons for pupils with Autism, ADHD, ADD and PMLD
-
Helping children regulate emotions, build routines, and feel safe in their own skin
-
Leading learning in small, focused groups—or one-on-one—tailored to each child’s world
-
Collaborating with TAs, therapists and families to create joined-up care
-
Seeing—and celebrating—those tiny, mighty breakthroughs others might miss
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
-
Holds QTS (or is newly qualified and full of heart)
-
Has experience in SEND settings—or the openness to learn fast
-
Knows that patience is powerful, and kindness is a strategy
-
Can balance empathy with structure, and bring a sense of calm even when things wobble
-
Shows up, every day, with compassion and consistency
In Return, You’ll Get:
-
Weekly PAYE pay (no umbrella company faff and cheeky deductions)
-
FREE CPD, including Thrive, Team Teach, and SEND training
-
A dedicated consultant who gets SEND and champions your work
-
Full and part-time roles to suit your life, values, and energy
-
The chance to do work that matters—really, truly matters
✨ This is about more than teaching. It’s about being the adult a child remembers—the one who never gave up on them.
