Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Chesterfield
Location: Chesterfield Salary: £89.38–£95 per day Contract: Full-time, Long-Term Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if you're ready!)

We’re looking for a calm, kind, and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Chesterfield. The role is all about connection—supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them feel safe, seen, and ready to learn.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 support to pupils with ASD and communication needs

Creating a positive and structured learning environment

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists

Using your instincts (and patience!) to help students feel secure

Helping pupils develop both academically and emotionally
What we’re looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND
-
A calm, supportive approach (even when things get wobbly)

A team player who’s confident using their initiative
-
A passion for making learning inclusive and accessible
