Location: Chesterfield Salary: £89.38–£95 per day Contract: Full-time, Long-Term Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if you're ready!)

We’re looking for a calm, kind, and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Chesterfield. The role is all about connection—supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them feel safe, seen, and ready to learn.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 support to pupils with ASD and communication needs

  • Creating a positive and structured learning environment

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists

  • Using your instincts (and patience!) to help students feel secure

  • Helping pupils develop both academically and emotionally

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND

  • A calm, supportive approach (even when things get wobbly)

  • A team player who’s confident using their initiative

  • A passion for making learning inclusive and accessible
