We’re working with a fantastic specialist school in Sunderland supporting children and young people with autism. They’re looking for a patient, caring, and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team in September.

Your role will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with autism and complex needs

  • Helping children access learning through tailored strategies and resources

  • Supporting social, emotional, and communication development

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (autism experience desirable)

  • A calm, positive, and flexible approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
