SEND Support Assistant – All-Through Specialist Setting (Easington, County Durham)

Location: Easington, County Durham
Salary: £89–£108 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

We’re partnering with a fantastic all-through special school in County Durham that supports children and young people aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of SEND, including autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs. They’re looking for a dedicated SEND Support Assistant who brings warmth, consistency, and care into every moment of the school day.

Your day-to-day:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to EHCP needs

  • Assisting with learning activities, personal care, and sensory regulation

  • Supporting teachers and therapists to deliver individualised learning plans

You’ll need to bring:

  • Experience working with SEND (education, care, or voluntary settings welcome)

  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach

  • Confidence to support personal care and complex needs (full training provided)

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and positive behaviour support
