We’re looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join schools in Northumberland. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and feel confident in the classroom.
This isn’t just about education — it’s about giving children the tools to thrive.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND

Assisting with learning activities and adapting materials to suit individual needs

Supporting personal care and sensory needs where required

Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

Working closely with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or youth settings all relevant)

Is patient, adaptable, and confident in using creative approaches to learning

Understands the importance of inclusion and safeguarding

Brings energy, empathy, and resilience every day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
