We’re looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join schools in Northumberland. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and feel confident in the classroom.

This isn’t just about education — it’s about giving children the tools to thrive.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND

  • Assisting with learning activities and adapting materials to suit individual needs

  • Supporting personal care and sensory needs where required

  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • Working closely with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or youth settings all relevant)

  • Is patient, adaptable, and confident in using creative approaches to learning

  • Understands the importance of inclusion and safeguarding

  • Brings energy, empathy, and resilience every day
