SEN Teaching Assistant – KS1 (with Personal Care Support)

We’re looking for a kind, patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil who needs 1:1 classroom guidance and personal care assistance. This is a role where compassion matters just as much as classroom know-how.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working closely with a KS1 pupil to help them access learning and daily routines

  • Providing personal care support with dignity and respect

  • Creating a safe, structured and positive learning space

  • Teaming up with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to make sure the child feels supported and included

What we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally including personal care

  • A calm, caring and resilient approach

  • Strong communication skills and a sense of humour (always handy in a KS1 classroom!)

  • Reliability and commitment—you’ll be a vital part of this child’s day
