Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist SEND school in Telford. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)ADHD, and other additional needs reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils with SEND
  • Assist with behaviour management and the implementation of emotional regulation strategies
  • Promote independence, self-confidence, and effective communication
  • Help prepare learning materials and maintain a well-organised classroom
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments and reviews

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with SEND (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH) is desirable
  • Awareness of alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECs) is a plus
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
