The Role:
We are currently seeking healthcare and care sector professionals who are interested in transitioning into education to join us as Teaching Assistants or SEND Support Assistants. If you have experience in social care, nursing, or support work—and a passion for helping others—you already have the core skills needed to thrive in a school environment.
Your experience with personal care, medication administration, manual handling, or holistic support will be invaluable in supporting children with a range of additional needs in both classroom and care settings.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalised 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEND

Assist teachers and therapists in implementing tailored learning and care plans

Support students with personal care, mobility, feeding, and medical tasks (training provided)

Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all learners

Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
Who We’re Looking For:

Healthcare professionals (e.g. HCAs, support workers, nurses)

Individuals with experience in social care or SEN settings
-
Teaching Assistants or Graduate TAs with a background or personal interest in SEND
-
Performing arts professionals interested in supporting pupils with communication and sensory needs

Empathetic, patient individuals with strong communication skills and a desire to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
