We’re on the lookout for a caring, committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with speech and language needs in a welcoming school in Wakefield.
This role is all about making a real difference every single day. You’ll be the calm presence, the patient encourager, and the friendly guide helping pupils build confidence in communication and learning.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with speech and language needs

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to put tailored strategies in place

Creating a safe, positive space where pupils can thrive and feel heard

Celebrating every small win—because progress comes in all shapes and sizes
What we’re looking for:
✅ Experience working with children with SEND (speech & language support is a bonus!)
✅ A calm, positive approach with strong communication skills
✅ Patience, empathy, and a big heart for helping children succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
