Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Support and Empower Young People with Additional Needs This September
Protocol Education is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Shrewsbury. Starting this September, you’ll work full-time to support students with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH, in a structured and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils with SEN
- Assist students in accessing learning and maintaining engagement during lessons
- Support teachers with behaviour management and classroom routines
- Promote emotional wellbeing, inclusion, and positive relationships throughout the school day
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN pupils in education, care, or youth settings
- Calm, resilient, and confident approach to managing challenging behaviours
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
