Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant – September 2025

Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a well-regarded secondary school. Known for its inclusive ethos and commitment to student well-being, the school fosters a collaborative and nurturing environment. About The Role:

  • Support the academic, social, and personal development of SEN students in classes, small groups, or individually.

  • Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

  • Provide one-on-one support for students with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.

  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that supports learning and emotional well-being.

  • Attend to the physical and sensory needs of students with SEN, providing necessary assistance and accommodations.

  • Support the development of key skills such as communication, social interaction, and independence through tailored activities.


About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with SEN students, including those with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.

  • Demonstrates patience, flexibility, and adaptability in responding to the unique needs of students.

  • Can work effectively with teachers, SENCO, and external specialists to provide comprehensive support.

  • Maintains a positive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages student engagement and well-being.

  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
