Protocol Education is offering a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a team and provide 1:1, small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs. The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will support pupils with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop their confidence, independence, and communication skills.

The Role:

  • Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and emotional/behavioural needs
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to aid academic, social, and emotional development
  • Support the class teacher in delivering an inclusive learning experience
  • Implement EHCP strategies and work closely with SENCO and external agencies
  • Monitor progress and contribute to regular reviews and assessments

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) are desirable but not essential
  • Calm, empathetic, and adaptable with a positive attitude
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development
  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
