Overall Responsibility: Supporting and teaching SEN students

 

Key Duties:

 

Provide support for SEN students under the guidance of the class teacher/SENCO/SEN Manager, helping them learn both independently and in groups.

Assist in developing basic skills such as language, reading, writing, and maths, and support social skills and concentration.

Clarify and reinforce subject matter to aid students in accessing the curriculum.

Help develop ICT skills and assist with ICT-based learning activities.

Prepare and adapt resources (e.g., worksheets) to support learning.

Liaise with teachers and external professionals to support intervention and therapy programmes.

Monitor progress and report achievements.

Build relationships with parents/carers and provide feedback.

Encourage positive behaviour and maintain high expectations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
