Hours: Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week – Proper family-friendly, ideal if you’ve young ‘uns in school yourself!

Fancy making a difference without needing to scale Everest before tea? We’re on the lookout for cracking Teaching Assistants to join a school in North Leeds, supporting learners with Autism and all sorts of other complex needs.

We work closely with this specialist school – a right friendly lot with top-notch Teachers and Learning Support staff. The pastoral team’s got everyone’s back too: from Communication & Interaction Leaders to Family Support Officers and Behaviour Wizards. Together, they keep things ticking, making sure every child has a chance to shine.

Class sizes? Nice and cosy – usually 6 to 9 learners. No sardines-in-a-tin vibes here.

What You’ll Be Doing (in plain speak):

  • Giving a helping hand in the classroom, working with the Teacher.

  • Helping pupils get stuck into learning and making sure the classroom doesn’t descend into chaos.

  • Sorting out resources and equipment – making sure everything’s shipshape.

  • Learning the ropes on how to best support SEND learners.

We’re After Folk Who:

  • Are up for learning new things – no know-it-alls needed.

  • Can have a laugh, stay calm under pressure, and work well as part of a team.

  • Are flexible, adaptable, and chatty (Yorkshire tea optional but encouraged).

  • Either have or are willing to get an enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce), kept up-to-date.

What You’ll Get from Us:

  • Ongoing support and professional development – we’re not just chucking you in and hoping for the best.

  • A leadership team and staff who genuinely care.

  • And most importantly, memories that’ll stick with you longer than Auntie Jean’s Christmas pudding.
