A mainstream primary school in Ealing (UB6) is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full time from September 2025, providing 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with challenging behaviour.
You’ll be the steady, reassuring presence that helps this child navigate the classroom, build trust, and engage with learning. It’s a role full of little wins and big impact.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting a child 1:1 in Year 1 with emotional regulation and behaviour routines

Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver consistent support

Using strategies like visual timetables, movement breaks, and positive reinforcement

Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children with behavioural or social-emotional needs

A calm, resilient, and patient approach

Confidence using de-escalation techniques (Thrive trained? Even better!)

Someone who can bring humour, heart, and consistency to every day
