SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time | Ealing | September 2025 Start

Supporting a brilliant Year 1 pupil with big personality and big emotions

Do you have the calm, care, and confidence to make a real difference to a child’s day?

A mainstream primary school in Ealing (UB6) is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full time from September 2025, providing 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with challenging behaviour.

You’ll be the steady, reassuring presence that helps this child navigate the classroom, build trust, and engage with learning. It’s a role full of little wins and big impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting a child 1:1 in Year 1 with emotional regulation and behaviour routines

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver consistent support

  • Using strategies like visual timetables, movement breaks, and positive reinforcement

  • Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with behavioural or social-emotional needs

  • A calm, resilient, and patient approach

  • Confidence using de-escalation techniques (Thrive trained? Even better!)

  • Someone who can bring humour, heart, and consistency to every day
