We’re working with a fantastic performing arts college in Walthamstow that’s looking for a compassionate and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs—both 1:1 and in small groups. If you’ve got a good handle on safeguarding and EHCPs, this could be your next great fit.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and group support for students with SEND

  • Helping learners engage with performing arts-based activities

  • Working closely with SENCOs and teachers to follow EHCP targets

  • Creating a calm, encouraging space where students feel safe to express themselves

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting young people with SEND

  • Understand the importance of safeguarding and EHCPs

  • Stay calm under pressure and know how to de-escalate with empathy

  • Be ready to get stuck into a vibrant, expressive environment
