Job Description
Protocol Education is currently seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in both mainstream and specialist school settings. Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, MLD, SLD).

Support the delivery of tailored learning activities as guided by the teacher and SENCO.

Promote emotional well-being, independence, and positive behaviour in the classroom.

Assist with personal care where necessary and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all pupils.

Help manage classroom behaviour using appropriate strategies.

Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour to teaching staff and parents.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
Candidate Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools, care, or community settings).

Patient, flexible, and calm under pressure.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A proactive and child-centred approach to learning.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA/SEN, Psychology, Youth Work) are a plus, but not essential.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Eligibility to work in the UK.
