Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN students
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work one-on-one with SEN students to reinforce learning objectives
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young adults
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

Experience:

Prior experience working in a classroom setting with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with SEN students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN-specific training or certification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment with SEN students. The position may require occasional overtime to attend school events or meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
