Job Duties:
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their educational and social development
- Assisting teachers in planning and implementing individualised education programmes
- Providing one-on-one support to students in the classroom
- Helping students with personal care and mobility needs, if required
- Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience:
Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
- Ability to provide individualised support to students
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Basic knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Additional training in supporting students with specific needs
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a classroom setting with students who have special educational needs. The working hours are full-time during school term times. The successful candidate may need to assist with personal care and mobility needs of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
