We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students aged 16+ at a welcoming college in Walthamstow. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact in a setting that genuinely values its support staff.

What your day could look like:

  • Supporting students with additional needs—think autism, ADHD, SEMH—through lessons and life skills

  • Helping learners grow in confidence and independence

  • Working closely with lecturers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

  • Creating a calm, consistent learning space where everyone feels seen

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting young people with SEND (college/post-16 experience is a big bonus!)

  • A patient, proactive approach and great communication skills

  • Someone who knows how to build trust and boost confidence
