About the Role
In this role, you'll support students at both primary and secondary ages with a range of special educational needs, including cognition and learning challenges, as well as communication and interaction difficulties. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you'll help deliver a highly personalised curriculum that fosters independence, confidence, and a love for learning.
What You'll Be Doing

Providing tailored support: Assist students across various subjects, ensuring their individual needs are met.

Promoting communication skills: Implement strategies like Signalong, PECS, and visual aids to enhance understanding.

Fostering emotional well-being: Utilize the THRIVE approach and Zones of Regulation to support students' emotional development.

Encouraging independence: Help students develop life skills, from reading timetables to preparing meals.

Collaborating with professionals: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists and mental health practitioners.

Engaging in continuous learning: Participate in ongoing training through our CPD Academy to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
