Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Essex
Location: Various schools across Essex
Salary: £89–£95 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025

You’re not “just” a Teaching Assistant.
You’re the steady hand, the calm voice, the person who keeps it all together. And the schools we work with in Essex? They know how much that matters.

We’re looking for compassionate, confident SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in specialist and mainstream settings across Essex. You might be helping a child with autism navigate their school day, or offering a quiet anchor in a bustling classroom. Either way, your presence will mean everything.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEND

  • Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

  • Helping children build confidence, routines, and positive learning habits

  • Creating a safe, inclusive space where every child feels seen

You’ll need:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school-based or otherwise)

  • A calm, kind approach—even on the trickier days

  • Brilliant communication and a team-player attitude

Bonus points if you’re Thrive trained—but if not, we offer free training to help you stand out to schools looking for emotionally literate support staff.

What’s in it for you?

  • Weekly pay through PAYE—no umbrella companies here

  • FREE access to our online CPD Academy

  • Personalised support from a dedicated SEN consultant

  • Long-term roles in schools that truly value support staff

  • Friendly, honest communication every step of the way
