Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN students
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring and recording student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant SEN qualification or experience
  • DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)

Education:

Secondary education required, additional SEN qualifications preferred

Experience:

Prior experience working with children with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support SEN students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and empathy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in specific SEN areas such as Autism or ADHD

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
