Job Duties:
- Supporting the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with special educational needs
- Assisting students with their learning activities and providing additional support as required
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the students' education
Required Qualifications:
Enhanced DBS on Update Service
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Working Conditions:
Work will primarily take place within a classroom setting, with some activities possibly conducted outdoors or in alternative learning environments. The role may involve occasional lifting or physical assistance to students with mobility needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
