About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with special educational needs across schools in Croydon. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN

  • Assist teachers in adapting learning materials and delivering engaging lessons

  • Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs

  • Promote independence, resilience, and confidence in pupils

  • Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other staff to ensure effective support plans are in place

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)

  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Safeguarding training (can be provided if not already held)
