SEN Teaching Assistant, working 1:1 with student.

They are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a student with specific needs, ensuring they have the necessary support to succeed academically and thrive in our school community.
We are an education recruitment agency, but this role is to work within 1 specific school for the duration of the academic year. The school will include you in weekly staff meetings and are happy to provide the relevant and any neccessary training if required/offered by the school. For all intents and purposes, the school will treat you as a permanent member of staff, though you will be placed on a supply basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a student with specific educational needs, tailoring your approach to their individual learning requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop and implement effective strategies for the student's academic and personal growth.
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the student's full participation and understanding of the curriculum.
- Help create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages the student's social and emotional development.
- Monitor and report on the student's progress, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the student, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.
- Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to ensure the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) is followed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar role, or a strong desire to work with students with specific educational needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patient, compassionate, and adaptable.
- A passion for helping students overcome educational challenges and achieve their potential.
- Willingness to undergo training and professional development as required.
- Knowledge of and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
