We have a great opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school within the Middlesbrough area.

As a SEN Classroom Support, you will be responsible for assisting teachers and other staff members in providing education and support to students with special educational needs (SEN). You will work closely with students, providing them with individual support and guidance, as well as assisting teachers in developing and implementing effective teaching strategies. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students with a range of SEN.
  • Develop personalised learning plans tailored to each student's unique strengths and needs.
  • Implement specialized teaching strategies to facilitate learning and skill development.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with SEN, whether in a school setting, tutoring, or related field.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and a deep commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and their families.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields is a plus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
