What You’ll Bring:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for SEN education.
- Experience working with children with SEN, ideally Autism, SEMH or Severe Learning Difficulties.
- Patience, resilience, empathy and a proactive approach.
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and the ability to reliably commute to Barking and Dagenham.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, using a variety of teaching strategies to support different learning styles and abilities.
- Create a supportive, structured classroom environment that fosters positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and social development.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), regularly assessing progress and adapting approaches to maximise student growth.
- Work closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants and external specialists to provide a coordinated approach to education.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a mentor and positive role model to boost their confidence, independence and resilience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
