We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Wakefield that’s looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team this September. If you’ve got a calm approach and a big heart for helping young people thrive—you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting students with additional needs (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD)

  • Providing 1:1 support or working with small groups

  • Helping students access the curriculum and build confidence

  • Using tailored strategies to support communication, focus, and social interaction

  • Working closely with the SENCO and wider team to deliver consistent support

You’ll be great if you have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN

  • A calm, adaptable, and positive approach

  • Great listening and communication skills

  • A real passion for inclusion and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
