We’re working with a specialist SEMH school in Wiltshire looking for a Teaching Assistant who brings consistency, compassion, and just the right mix of energy and empathy.

This isn’t your typical classroom. Here, progress looks different. You might help a pupil regulate emotions, guide a young person through practical literacy, or support a restorative conversation after a tough moment. The school builds its entire approach around relational practice, emotional wellbeing, and real-world learning. It’s all about connection before correction.

Your role will include:

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups with secondary-age pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs

  • Supporting a curriculum rooted in life skills, personal development, and trauma-informed practice

  • Collaborating with a brilliant team of teachers, therapists, and behaviour specialists

  • Helping students build confidence, resilience, and readiness for the next steps in life

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH, trauma backgrounds, or additional needs

  • Understands that some days will be tough—but believes in fresh starts every morning

  • Can stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing needs

  • Wants to be part of a team that truly values emotional literacy, positive relationships, and student voice
