SEN Learning Support Assistant – South Bristol
South Bristol | £13.75–£14.50 per hour | ️ Full-time & Part-time
Got a calm head and a kind heart? You might be exactly who a child needs right now.
We’re looking for SEN Learning Support Assistants across South Bristol, working in a mix of settings, from nurturing early years environments to 1:1 support in Year 6. You don’t need years of experience, just patience, empathy, and a real interest in helping children with additional needs thrive.
Whether you’re already in education or exploring a new direction, we’ll help you find the right school and setting where your support makes a real difference.
You’ll be:
-
Supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech & language delays, and SEMH
-
Providing 1:1 or small group support in classroom and breakout settings
-
Helping children access learning, manage routines, and build confidence
-
Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and therapists
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience with SEND is ideal but not essential—life experience, care work, or the right attitude all count!
-
A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
-
Strong communication skills and a team mindset
What we offer:
-
Weekly pay via PAYE (no umbrella fees)
-
Free CPD and Thrive training—boost your confidence and CV
-
A dedicated local consultant who gets to know you
-
Roles across mainstream, specialist, and alternative provisions
-
Flexible hours and start dates to suit your schedule
Whether it’s helping a non-verbal pupil feel understood, or giving a child the tools to regulate their emotions—you’ll play a part in something genuinely important.
Not Thrive trained yet? We’ll cover that for free—it’s one of the top things schools look for in SEN support staff.
Apply today and we’ll help you find a role that fits you and makes a difference.
