SEN Cover Teacher - Primary

Location: Kennington

Reference: LHAUG51
Salary: £150 - 170 per day
Job Published: 10 days ago

Support when it’s needed most. Structure where it matters most.

We’re looking for flexible and confident SEN Cover Teachers to work across primary schools in Lambeth, stepping in when class teachers are off. These are not your average supply days—you’ll be working with small, supported groups of pupils with additional needs in mainstream settings.

Whether you’re available one day or five, we’ll match you with the right schools and give you all the info you need to walk in with confidence.

Your role:

  • Deliver pre-set lessons and maintain structure in SEN-focused classrooms

  • Work closely with TAs and 1:1s to support pupils with EHCPs or high-level needs

  • Provide consistency, routine, and calm—even when stepping in last-minute

  • Build positive relationships in schools that value SEND expertise

You’ll need:

  • QTS (or equivalent) and primary experience

  • Experience with SEND (ASD, SEMH, MLD, etc.)

  • A steady, flexible approach—you thrive in changing environments

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or be happy to apply)

What you’ll get:

  • Roles in schools that appreciate your SEN knowledge

  • Weekly PAYE pay—no umbrella deductions

  • FREE access to our CPD Academy

  • A dedicated consultant who knows Lewisham inside-out

If you love working with SEN pupils and want the variety of cover teaching without the stress of long-term planning, this one’s for you.

Apply today and we’ll find schools that suit your style.
