Some students need more than lessons, and they need someone who sees them, hears them, and stands by them.
A specialist secondary setting in Bristol is looking for a SEMH Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. These are students who’ve faced more than most, and your calm, consistent presence could make all the difference.
What your day might look like:
-
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour
-
Helping students access learning in a way that works for them
-
Working closely with therapists, SENCOs, and teaching staff
-
Creating a safe, trusting space for students to grow, academically and personally
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience working with young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour
-
A calm, patient approach
-
Trauma-informed practice, Team Teach or Thrive training is a big plus
-
A belief that every child deserves another chance
