We’re looking for caring, resilient Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Lewisham, supporting pupils with SEMH needs. This is a brilliant opportunity to help children feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs

  • Supporting emotional regulation, confidence, and classroom participation

  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral teams

  • Creating a safe, structured environment to help every child succeed

What we’re after:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH, behavioural, or emotional needs

  • A calm, patient, and positive approach

  • Good understanding of safeguarding and inclusion practices

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

  • Relevant qualifications or de-escalation/trauma-informed training are a bonus
