Teaching Assistant Vacancy – Secondary School

About the Role

  • Deliver personalised support to students across KS3 and KS4, including one-to-one and small group sessions

  • Collaborate with class teachers to assist in lesson planning and delivery of engaging learning activities

  • Support students with diverse needs, including those with SEND

  • Assist in maintaining positive behaviour management following the school’s guidelines

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant within a secondary school environment is essential

  • Solid knowledge of the UK national curriculum

  • Ability to develop positive relationships with both students and colleagues

  • Patient, dependable, and adaptable to the dynamic school environment

  • Enhanced DBS certification on the update service or willingness to apply

Experienced Cover Supervisor Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience working as a Teaching Assistant

  • Strong skills in classroom management and rapport-building with students

  • Valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or readiness to obtain one

  • Eligibility to work in the UK

  • A genuine passion for education and a flexible, proactive mindset
