Job Title: Secondary School Teaching Assistant – Bath
Bath | Full-time & part-time available | ⏰ Flexible hours to suit you
Love working with young people? Fancy making a real difference in a secondary school setting?
You might just be the person we’re looking for.
We're on the hunt for Teaching Assistants to support students across secondary schools in Bath and NE Somerset. You’ll be working in the SEN department, helping pupils thrive in their learning—whether that’s one-on-one, in small groups, or supporting the wider classroom. You will also be working in mainstream classes, supporting the class teachers in the delivery of the lessons.
Experience with SEN is a bonus—but not a dealbreaker. What matters most is your energy, empathy, and enthusiasm. Maybe you’ve done youth work, sports coaching, or you’re studying psychology? If you know how to build rapport and motivate young people, you're halfway there.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Supporting students with additional needs so they can engage, learn, and grow
-
Working closely with teachers to deliver tailored support
-
Creating a calm, inclusive learning environment
-
Bringing positivity, patience, and a sense of humour to every school day
What we’re looking for:
-
Someone who’s caring, confident, and loves a challenge
-
Previous experience with SEN—or a genuine willingness to learn
-
People from sports, coaching, youth work, or psychology backgrounds are especially welcome
-
A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
