We are urgently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Newham, working with KS3 and KS4 pupils. If you’re looking to make a genuine difference in a setting that values creativity, resilience and inclusivity, this could be the role for you.
What You’ll Need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 Science (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics).
- Experience supporting or teaching young people with Autism, SEMH or Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Excellent behaviour management skills, flexibility and a compassionate approach.
- A commitment to inclusive, accessible learning for all students.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons adapted to individual learning needs.
- Break down complex scientific concepts into accessible and relevant content.
- Foster a safe and structured classroom environment that supports academic development.
- Work closely with TAs, SENCOs and external professionals to create and follow individualised learning plans.
- Encourage critical thinking, exploration and confidence in students who may have struggled in mainstream settings.
