General Science Teacher (Key Stage 3 & 4) – Sunderland

Protocol Education are currently working with a secondary school in Sunderland to recruit a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025 until at least December 2025, with the possibility of extension or a permanent appointment thereafter.

About the role:
You will teach General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring and challenging students of all abilities to achieve their full potential. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that encourage curiosity and confidence in science, while supporting students to progress towards excellent GCSE outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Science up to GCSE

  • Be dedicated to fostering an inclusive, respectful learning environment

  • Be confident in behaviour management and differentiated delivery

  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development
