Protocol Education are currently looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven Science Teacher to work in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school in a large Sheffield secondary school. The school is a welcoming and inclusive environment where Teachers deliver an ambitious curriculum and pupils enjoy their learning. They are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with children aged 11-16 and looking for their next role in teaching. This role is full time and is required for a January start (if you are available before this that would be advantageous.) Initially, this position is temporary for one fixed term with the potential to go permanent.
Your role will include being responsible for planning and delivering inspirational Science lessons that engage all students in their learning, managing behaviour in the classroom and around the schools. You will also be responsible for managing/directing any teaching assistants and ensuring you are always following safeguarding procedures.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience within a teaching setting and strong knowledge on KS3/KS4 curriculum
- Have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have a passion for young children’s education and shaping their future
- Have excellent command of the classroom, high expectations and the expertise to effectively manage behaviour
- Engage all students through the delivery of lessons in a creative, vibrant and interactive style
You will be required to provide a minimum of two references (covering min. of 2 years employment) and will have the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This role would be appropriate for ETC’s or experienced teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
