Position: Science Teacher
Salary: £140-180 per day
At Protocol Education, we’re currently recruiting for Science Teachers across the Telford and Shropshire areas, for Secondary Schools.
We have daily, short term and long term work opportunities available with them and can offer regular work and excellent pay rates for Science Teachers.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive science lessons to students across different year groups. You will teach key concepts in biology, chemistry, and physics, helping students develop a solid foundation in scientific principles. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire students' curiosity, facilitate hands-on experiments, and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you will be responsible for assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall science curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons to students aged 11 to 16
Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes active student engagement
Foster a passion for science by using innovative teaching methods and resources
Support and guide students in their scientific investigations and experiments
Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and assessment
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the science curriculum
Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and overall performance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
Proven experience teaching science at the secondary school level
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment
Dedication to student achievement and personal development
Familiarity with current educational technology and resources
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
