Science Cover Teacher (Secondary) – South Bristol
Protocol Education are recruiting confident and proactive Science Cover Teachers to support secondary schools across South Bristol. You’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned science lessons and ensuring students stay curious, engaged, and on track with their learning. This role is ideal for qualified science teachers seeking greater flexibility, or ECTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience that will support future career progression. Successful applicants will bring subject knowledge, energy, and the ability to build positive relationships with both staff and students.
What the job looks like:

Delivering pre-planned science lessons with confidence, inspiring motivation and strong student engagement

Managing behaviour consistently, with warmth and professionalism

Supporting students with encouragement and patience, keeping learning on track

Collecting and organising completed work for the classroom teacher

Reporting back on progress and behaviour for classroom teacher use

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
