Religious Education Teacher – SEN Setting | Immediate Start | Full-Time
Are you a passionate Religious Education Teacher with a heart for supporting students with special educational needs? We are urgently seeking a committed and empathetic RE Teacher to join a dynamic SEN school in Barking and Dagenham, working with KS3 and KS4 pupils. This is a unique opportunity to blend subject expertise with meaningful support for students who need it most.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience delivering Religious Education at KS3 and KS4 level.
- A strong understanding of SEN, particularly Autism, SEMH and MLD/SLD.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Ability to build genuine, nurturing relationships with students and staff.
- Commitment to making RE relevant, respectful and accessible to all learners.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering creative RE lessons that reflect a broad range of faiths and perspectives.
- Creating a safe, structured and engaging classroom where pupils feel valued and heard.
- Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, TAs and families to support every learner.
- Adapting your teaching to meet a range of needs, with a focus on communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
