What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning through play and structured activities

  • Provide general class support, 1:1 or small group support to pupils, especially during key learning and social development moments

  • Help create a calm, inclusive Reception environment where children feel safe, confident, and inspired

  • Support classroom routines, assist with transitions, and ensure safeguarding is always a top priority

  • Foster curiosity, communication, and independence in every child you work with

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for someone with a calm, adaptable approach and a genuine love for supporting children:

  • Experience working with children (in schools, nurseries or similar settings)

  • Team spirit and a proactive, positive mindset

  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and child development in EYFS

  • Bonus if you’ve worked as a TA before—but we welcome career changers and new starters too!

Desirable Skills and Extras

  • Experience supporting learners with SEND

  • First Aid certification or Thrive training

  • A relevant TA or Early Years qualification (not essential, but a lovely bonus)
