We’re working with a high-achieving 11–18 secondary school seeking a thoughtful, engaging Religious Education and Philosophy Teacher. You’ll help students explore ethics, belief systems, and life’s big ideas while building critical thinking, empathy, and respectful debate.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll:
- Teach RE and Philosophy across KS3, KS4, and A-Level
- Deliver thoughtful, well-planned lessons rooted in discussion and exploration
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level assessments with confidence
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
- Promote inclusivity, curiosity, and independent thinking
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS and a relevant degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy, or Theology
- Has experience teaching RE and/or Philosophy at secondary level (KS3–KS5)
- Creates a classroom culture that’s open, respectful, and academically ambitious
- Is confident leading structured discussions and challenging assumptions
- Believes education should be as much about character as it is about content

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
